The Nursing Community portal on the Health Sciences Center Library’s website expedites\u00a0access to online\u00a0resources, such as evidence-based\u00a0textbooks, journal databases, and point-of-care resources.\u00a0 The Nursing Community is available directly by linking to\u00a0http:\/\/health.library.emory.edu\/communities\/nursing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Clinical Informationists\u00a0at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown collaborated with Sharlene Toney, Executive Director of Professional Nursing Practice, to start a central repository for questions and\u00a0information from\u00a0the best published evidence.\u00a0 The \u201cEvidence Matters\u2019 repository focuses on\u00a0information\u00a0relevant to the Emory Healthcare Nursing Quality Initiatives:\u00a0 Falls, Pressure Ulcers, Patient Satisfaction, Catheter-Associated UTI, Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection, Restraints, and Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia.\u00a0\u00a0As questions arise\u00a0during\u00a0Quality Initiative team\u2019s meetings, team members\u00a0have an option to submit\u00a0inquiries to the clinical informationists.\u00a0 The informationists then research and post a brief summary of the most recent available best published evidence with links to the studies.\u00a0 The repository can be accessed from\u00a0the Nursing Community\u00a0at the Health Sciences Center Library website and directly at\u00a0http:\/\/ehcnursing.wordpress.com.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The library offers two new services for nurses at Emory Healthcare and faculty and students at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing to access published evidence of best practices.
