We held our first meeting on May 3rd, 2017 in the Physics Department conference room. Sixteen faculty representing multiple science departments (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, Neuroscience and behavioral Biology, Human Health, and  Environmental Sciences) were in attendance. Actionable items resulting from our first meeting included the creation of a WiSE listserv, creation of a website, and planning activities for future meetings.
