Level 1 in Woodruff Library will be undergoing renovations this summer, starting on May 9th.<\/sup>\u00a0 These renovations will add more seating, a variety of new furniture, and additional power outlets to the Learning Commons on Level 1. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To accomplish this goal, a large percentage of the microform and print government document collections on Level 1 will move to the Library Service Center over the summer.\u00a0 The move is scheduled to be complete by early June, when construction will start.<\/p>\n

During the project, the seating area of Peet\u2019s caf\u00e9, the meditation room, and group studies on Level 1 will not be accessible. All student technology resources including printers and Mac and Windows workstations will be removed and stored during renovation; patrons may find workstations on Level 2 and the Music and Media Library.\u00a0 Student Technology Support (STS)<\/a> will remain open to students throughout the summer with consultations taking place inside the glass enclosure.<\/p>\n

LEVEL ONE proposed floor plan, Woodruff Library<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A small number of microform cabinets will remain on Level 1.\u00a0 These cabinets will not be accessible to the public until the renovations are complete. Library Service Desk staff will retrieve reels from these cabinets while renovations are under way.\u00a0 One microfilm scanner will be temporarily relocated to the Library Service Desk area on Level 2 during construction.\u00a0 Please contact the Library Service Desk (servicedesk [at] mail [dot] library [dot] emory [dot] edu<\/a>) for assistance in finding materials.<\/p>\n

Collections that are moving to the Library Service Center will be unavailable while they are being moved, and the discoverE record will be temporarily removed from public view. \u00a0Once added to the Library Service Center, discoverE will reflect the new locations, and these collections will be available for requesting and delivery to the Library Service Desk.\u00a0 Certain non-circulating collections, such as microforms, will only be available for in-house use.\u00a0 Please be sure to contact the Library Service Desk<\/a> as far in advance as possible to verify the availability of library materials.\u00a0 You may also request materials, if eligible, through Interlibrary Loan<\/a>.<\/p>\n
