It’s International Games Month!

Emory students playing a game at the Robert W. Woodruff Library

November is International Games Month! It’s a good time to remember the importance of play in our lives, socially, educationally, and of course just for fun. If you’re on the Atlanta campus, please drop in and try out our fledgling collection of board and card games on the second floor across from the Library Service Desk. It launched this past May, and although you can’t check the games out and remove them from the library, they’re waiting on the shelves for you to find a nice spot nearby and play. Please take care of them and return them to the gaming shelves when you’re finished.

Libraries around the world observe International Games Month every year in November. Board, video, and role-playing games have become a common sight in both public and academic libraries, and we hope to increase the size of our gaming collection when we have the opportunity. In the meantime, please drop in and play a few rounds of some of your favorites!
