A former library conference room has been converted into a student space that provides highly sought-after presentation practice and video conferencing services. Located on level 2 of the Woodruff Library Learning Commons, room 213 can be reserved online and used to practice presentations while watching live video feed and to record them for later review and analysis. The video and audio conferencing capabilities can be used to facilitate student interviews, dissertation defenses, and collaborative engagement with peers and scholars from across the globe.
The audio-visual technology in the room include:
- Crestron Control System for easy navigation
- 70″ TV display with a camera for presentations and video-conferencing
- Confidence monitor with a camera for viewing and recording ongoing presentations
- Ceiling microphones and speakers
There is also flexible furniture, tables, chairs, and a lectern, that can accommodate up to 10 people. You will also find a dedicated Windows computer, and 2 HDMI laptop connections with HDMI cables and Apple mini-display adapters.

- The room should be used as designed, i.e., for presentation practice / video or audio conferencing (not for regular meetings)
- Once a reservation is confirmed, the access to the room is through the Learning Commons Technical Support desk during its hours
- Reservations are up to 3 hours once per day, no more than 14 days in advance
- All reservation requests must be submitted by noon prior to the requested day to be considered for reservation (all Saturday, Sunday and Monday requests must be submitted by noon on Fridays)
