Register to join us for the “Puppets, Poe, and the Gothic Archive,” event on Thursday, February 26 at 7PM in the Jones Room of the Robert W Woodruff Library. Emory Libraries are partnering with the Center for Puppetry Arts to celebrate the Center’s spring production of The Tales of Edgar Allan Poe.

The event will feature a presentation from one of the production’s expert puppeteers, followed by a roundtable with Em Nordlin and Dan Abitz from Emory’s English Department. The roundtable will explore Poe’s work, the broader Gothic tradition, and the creative process of adapting literature for the stage. Guests will also have the opportunity to view Gothic materials from Emory’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library alongside puppets featured in the upcoming production.
The event is free and open to the public, though registration is requested
