Projects: Iron-binding small molecules, QACs
Bio: Ryan was born and raised in Pittburgh, Pennsylvania before attending Villanova University for his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish Literature and Language in 2018. During his undergraduate career, he worked in the lab of Dr. Kevin Minbiole on quaternary ammonium compounds, a project that has an ongoing collaboration with the Wuest Lab. After graduation, he decided to attend Emory University to pursue his PhD in Chemistry and joined the Wuest Lab in January 2019. He was also awarded a DAAD-RISE Scholarship to work in the lab of Dr. Mathias Christmann at Freie Universität Berlin during the summer of 2017. When he’s not working in lab, he enjoys running, swimming, cooking and baking.
