Military Dog Tag Necklace

I have the military dog tag necklace as my object. It possesses both a historical value and a fashionable value. Its origin is in the military as a means of identification, which is illustrated in a research image below. In today’s society, however, it is also used as a fashion accessory, which is portrayed in an image of a man wearing it. My object’s use transitioned from a purpose of identification to a means of expressing oneself aesthetically.

This image is of the loose connector on the chain of the military dog tag. It is what enables the necklace to hook and unhook from one’s neck.
