Communities of Practice

BUILDING FOR CHANGE

Communities of Practice

Communities of Practice and Learning Communities are essential components of the Educator Support frameworks. This domain focuses on creating a collaborative and supportive environment where educators can grow and develop their personal and pedagogical skills together. Central to this concept is the establishment of professional learning communities, where educators come together to share knowledge, practices, and experiences related to the implementation of SEE Learning.

These communities provide ongoing guidance, support experimentation, and encourage the concurrent learning and application of new strategies. The aim is to foster both student and educator mastery, while also cultivating educators’ personal practice. Such communities are integral to developing educator competencies necessary for creating compassionate classroom settings. They offer a structure for continuous professional development and improvement, essential for the long-term sustainability of SEE Learning initiatives within educational ecosystems.
