Sometimes, it isn’t obvious why a scientists chooses to study the topic they have, like genetically engineering seeds out of watermelon, for example. Bladder research can sometimes come off that way too – if you’re young and don’t realize how life deranging a malfunctioning bladder can be. Over the course of about 25 minutes on the Holy Shift! podcast, I make the case to a very general audience why it is important to study the urinary tract, the value of scientific theory, and why we want more smart people working in biomedicine.
