Dr. Jinsook Kim, Assistant Professor in Emory’s Film and Media Department, has been recognized for her upcoming project about activism against online misogyny in South Korea.
Awarded both a fellowship by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) and the Dangers and Opportunities of Technology grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for her upcoming book “Sticky Activism: Online Misogyny and Feminist Activism in South Korea”, Dr. Kim’s research highlights the efforts of feminist activists in countering the digital toxicity faced by women and marginalized groups.
