Film and Media’s Dr. Jinsook Kim Awarded for Upcoming Book Project

Dr. Jinsook Kim, Assistant Professor in Emory‚Äôs Film and Media Department, has been recognized for her upcoming project about activism against online misogyny in South Korea.  

Awarded both a fellowship by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) and the Dangers and Opportunities of Technology grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for her upcoming book “Sticky Activism: Online Misogyny and Feminist Activism in South Korea”, Dr. Kim’s research highlights the efforts of feminist activists in countering the digital toxicity faced by women and marginalized groups.
