Current Projects

I am currently involved in two major writing projects:

My current major project is a monograph tentatively titled The Rise of Islam, Time, and the End of Anxiety: Apocalypse and Apocalypticism in the East Mediterranean at the Beginnings of Islam. This work will explore the complex interrelations of Jews, Christians and Muslims at the time of the rise of Islam through the lens of the genre of apocalypse. I am also working on a novel, the plot of which will link current Middle Eastern social and political issues with Arabia at the time of the rise of Islam.
