Erik Ringen
I graduated from Washington State University Vancouver with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in psychology. Subsequently, I studied tamarin sensory ecology in the Peruvian Amazon with Field Projects International, and then spent a year working at the Human Relations Area Files at Yale University. In my future research, I would like to develop a comparative, methodologically diverse research program to elucidate the natural history of toxin regulation in the primate lineage.
Research interests:
– Ingestive behavior
– Cross-cultural and cross-species comparative methods
– Ontogeny and social learning
– Plant secondary compounds
– Evolutionary medicine
