August 3- Summer Undergraduate Research (SURE) Symposium 

Congrats to both Whitley and Carli for excellent work! Special congrats to Carli Kovel who took home 2nd place overall award for her poster presentation. Nice work!

July 28, 2018- Lab Clean Up and Summer Picnic

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the annual lab clean up.  Great way to end the summer and prepare for a new academic year.  We even invited the Blakey Group to crash our picnic while their boss was away.

May 8, 2017- Congratulations to Sophie Cemaj on her graduation from Emory College (B.S. Chemistry)!

Sophie has landed a position at the NIH (NIDA) where she will be conducting research for the next year or two.  Best of luck, Soph!  We’ll miss you!

April 21, 2017- Undergraduate Research Symposium and Awards Ceremony

Congrats to Carli Kovel!  Carli was awarded one of the prestigious William Jones Scholarships for her outstanding academic achievement. She also received a CSURP fellowship to conduct research in our lab this summer!

The group welcomes Iftikhar Ahmad. A visiting Doctoral student who will be conducting research with for the next six months. Welcome!

January 28, 2017 –  New Website goes live!

It took a while but we’ve finally updated the MacBeth Lab website. Based on our previous experiences, we predict that Emory will switch to a brand new web platform for teaching and research within the next three to six months.  We will try to keep this somewhat updated until that happens.
