Welcome to the information page on Managing Markets. We study farmers market management and how it impacts farmer experiences.
The Managing Markets research team is currently undertaking two research projects related to farmers market management in the US. Our Southern SARE project focuses investigates how farmers’ economic viability and quality of life are impacted by the structures and management of farmers markets through a qualitative study of farmers and farmers market managers across eight metropolitan areas in AL, GA, LA, and MS. Our AMS project looks at farmers markets managed by organizations to explore how management structures influence these organization’s activities.
