Effort Certification Fundamentals is now available in Brainer. This course walks learners through the basics of effort certification. After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Define effort certification
- Describe the difference between effort and salary
- Describe how Emory’s effort certification process meets federal requirements for certifying effort on sponsored awards
- List the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the effort certification process at Emory
- Identify Emory’s effort certification periods
Effort Certification Fundamentals is part one of a three-part series on effort certification developed by Sandra Meadows, Instructional designer, in consultation with central and non-central administrative staff. This fundamentals course takes learners 15-20 minutes to complete and satisfies 0.25 contact hours in research administration toward the ORA Continuing Education requirement.
