Dear Oxford Faculty:
The Emory University Libraries are in the process of replacing Reserves Direct with a new online course management tool, ARES. Faculty and their proxies will be able to add course materials to the new Course Reserves tool starting May 14. Students will also be able to use the new Course Reserves tool starting on May 14. Reserves Direct will be retired later in the summer of 2014.
If you are teaching Summer school on the Atlanta campus, please contact Kim David at the Oxford library with any questions or need for assistance. Fall 2014 Course Reserves materials should also be submitted to Kim. If you are interested in a preview of the new Course Reserves system, let Kim know and we will give you a brief introduction. We will also be available for support throughout the summer and fall.
The library will migrate three full years of Reserves Direct course materials into the new system. This includes complete course materials from fall 2011 through spring 2014. Summer or fall 2014 course materials added to Reserves Direct before May 14 will also be migrated.
In August we will contact you individually to ask whether you have reserve materials prior to 2011 that you need for us to transfer to the new system.
Here are just a few highlights concerning Course Reserves features:
