Join us on Tuesday, October 21 for the twenty-seventh Reformation Day at Emory, a day of lectures, music, and exhibits, and the first Reformation Day to take place in the new Pitts Theology Library building.
This year’s program takes up the theme of “Reform in the University and the Church.” Professor Timothy Wengert and Professor Ian McFarland will explore the lesser-known story of Luther’s reform at the University of Wittenberg, the effects of that reform on the church, and the place of theology in the university today. In addition, Library Director M. Patrick Graham will introduce the new Pitts Theology Library building, present recent additions to the Kessler Reformation collection, and provide an overview of the library’s inaugural exhibit on “Luther’s Reform of University and Church.”
Register today at www.pitts.emory.edu/reformationday or by calling 404-727-6352. Based on full participation, the Candler School of Theology will award 0.5 CEU.
