This October 21, we celebrate the twenty-seventh Reformation Day at Emory, a day of lectures, music, and exhibits. This year’s program takes up the theme of “Reform in the University and the Church.” Professor Timothy Wengert and Professor Ian McFarland will explore Luther’s reform at the University of Wittenberg, the effects of that reform on the church, and the place of theology in the university today. Library Director M. Patrick Graham will also introduce the new Pitts Theology Library building, present recent additions to the Kessler Reformation collection, and provide an overview of the library’s inaugural exhibit on “Luther’s Reform of University and Church.”
All are also invited to join us for a tour of the library and exhibit gallery at 4:30 pm. We will meet at the library entrance.
