Dr. Josh Plotnik has moved onto big things since his time as a graduate student under the mentorship of Dr. Frans de Waal– Literally! He spends his summers working with wild Asian elephants.
He and his team spoke with Sharyn Alfonsi on site in Thailand to discuss his work in understanding elephant psychology and what that can teach us about conserving the nation’s wild elephant population, protecting both the giants and the people that live there.
