Reading Journal 10 — Amy Chou

I have chosen the key-word [gender].

DEFINITION: I think it means [the socially constructed concept of behaving like a female, male, or other identity].

PURPOSE: I intend to create a [website]. An example of this format is [WordPress site we are using to post our reading journals], and some of the generic conventions of this format are [having informal articles consisting of subsections or lists, clear navigation within the website, and logical organization of information].

CONTENT: I intend to talk about my key-word in relation to [concept of gender, history of gender, gender in different culture, binary versus non-binary, examples of gender binary in everyday life, stereotypes built on the concept of binary gender, and stories / experiences from people with non-binary gender].

COURSE THEMATIC: I think that my key concept intersects/overlaps with class in these ways: [discuss how we should break the traditional concept of gender binary and be more respectful to those who identify as having non-binary gender].

QUESTIONS: I am struggling with/ cannot seem to figure out/ do not know how to approach [researching about the history of gender]. I would like more clarification on [how to organize the information I found ]. I need support with [reviewing my outline].
