Reading Journal 7 – Margarethe Conner

To practice self care, I watched an episode of the new season of White Lotus, a show that I like on HBO Max. I haven’t watched TV in a while, especially in the last week because I’ve been really busy. I also find that while I’m watching TV I feel guilty because I’m not being “productive”. It was really nice to just relax and shut my mind off for a bit. I also think it probably makes me more productive to give myself some time periodically to relax and reset. I think that I can set aside 30 minutes each day to do something for myself and not be stressed about being productive. If I set that time aside purposefully I also probably won’t feel like I’m procrastinating. Some days I might not have time to take that time, but most days I’m sure I’ll be able to make it work.
