Traveling to Amsterdam was an amazing experience that I was able to share with some new friends I met on my Study Abroad trip.
I arrived in France feeling extremely jet-lagged but also excited for my semester abroad. I had lived in Brooklyn and Atlanta my whole life and wasn’t sure what to expect living in a country that seemed so far from home.
One of the many lessons I learned while abroad is the power of patience and the ability to go with the flow. In U.S. culture, people are often so focused on the next task that needs to be completed that they lose sight of the present. I learned how important it is to live in the moment and let go of things that are out of your control.
Although I eventually thrived in my new environment, I had to learn to deal with unpredictable situations in the moment. Here are a few tips I learned that may prove useful to anyone who feels lost without their planner.
