Preservation In Emory University’s Libraries

Emory University’s libraries are home to many impressive and diverse collections of historic and educational resources. Students and researchers at Emory University rely on the libraries to provide educational materials and access to unique manuscripts and artifacts. Like any other historic artifact, books and archive materials need specialized treatment to ensure that they will be available and accessible for the future.

The job of maintaining and preserving these collections is the responsibility of the Preservation Office & Digitization Services. ThePreservation Office & Digitization Services is comprised of two main areas, conservation and digitization services. The teams of individuals of both areas work diligently to ensure that the collections they maintain are stable and accessible to patrons of the libraries.
