Studies in Sexualities Relaunch

The Library is pleased to be involved in the relaunch of Studies in Sexualities. Studies in Sexualities is a university wide, interdisciplinary program that helps bring together students and faculty from different parts of the university to meet and share their interests and research on sexuality. It has no one methodological or conceptual orientation. Instead, Studies in Sexualities seeks to get faculty and students to think about sexuality studies as broadly as possible. Please join us on Tuesday, February 26th in Atwood 360 from 4-6 pm as we relaunch Studies in Sexualities.

Studies in Sexualities promotes a diverse cohort of researchers, especially important for students (so they are not working in isolation) and it provides an opportunity for faculty to think collaboratively with each other.  It does not teach classes but the program funds symposia, lectures, films, and reading groups that gather those interested in sexualities together to think about sexuality in new ways. This allows researchers with similar interests across departments and schools to share their work, expand its scope, and engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue.

Faculty and students will discuss their work, undergraduate and graduate essay prizes will be announced, and the Woodruff and Rose Libraries will highlight the diverse holdings each has to offer the Emory community on sexuality studies. We hope to see you there.
