Dear Emory Libraries Friends and Patrons,
The university continues to prepare for remote teaching and learning for online classes to begin March 22. The library staff has done a wonderful job helping faculty to move their instruction online, and we will continue to assist students and their instructors in getting the materials they need to successfully complete this semester.
However, with social distancing becoming a significant factor in controlling the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to update you on the status of the Emory Libraries.
We are adjusting our building operations effective March 20, 2020 and implementing the following:

As of 6 p.m. on Friday, March 20, we will close all library buildings to all visitors, including the Emory community.

Effective immediately, all due dates for materials currently on loan from any Emory library will be extended through Monday, May 11, 2020. Patrons may keep any items in their possession through May 11. All late fees incurred between March 11 – May 11, 2020 will be waived.

We are working on a list of virtual research services and material accessibility services that will be available to faculty. Once that list is finalized, we will post it on our Emory Libraries COVID-19 Remote Services and Contingency Plans for Faculty and Students page.

We have canceled all events through the end of the semester.

All meetings and consultations will be done via Zoom or by call to avoid in-person interaction.
