The city of Atlanta, where Emory University is located, sits on the ancestral lands of the Mvskoke (Muscogee) Creek Nation. On this day, we contemplate the ways in which the histories and experiences of Native people have been obfuscated in service to systemic racism and oppression.
The Emory Libraries are committed to working towards restorative justice. In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day and in celebration of Native American Heritage Month in November, we will be highlighting library materials and resources that provide authentic representation of Native experiences and history.
