Kelli Stidham Hall, PhD
Principal Investigator
Dr. Hall’s research focuses on the intersections between reproductive health and other dimensions of health during adolescence and young adulthood. Prior to joining the faculty in the Rollins School of Public Health (RSPH), she was a NIH “BIRCWH” K-12 Scholar and research faculty member at the University of Michigan.
Fun Fact: Kelli loves peanut butter and eats it every day.
Eve Rose, MSPH
Research Project Manager
Eve has been a Research Director at RSPH for the past 17 years. She has coordinated both large-scale clinical trials in chronic disease prevention and, more recently, HIV/STD and high-risk sexual behavior prevention trials for adolescents both nationally and internationally.
Fun Fact: Eve is a textbook “soccer mom” who lives in Decatur and enjoys running, yoga, and hiking in North Georgia.
Shelby Rentmeester, MPH
Research Project Coordinator
Shelby received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities before beginning the Master of Public Health program at RSPH. She has worked on various research projects focusing on maternal and child health, from clinical intervention trials for teen pregnancy and STI prevention to MRI brain development studies.
Fun Fact: Shelby absolutely loves otters and Harry Potter. (She is almost certain that her patronus is an otter.)
Candace McCloud, MPH
Public Health Program Associate
Candace received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College. She then continued her education by obtaining her Master of Public Health degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. Candace has worked on various public health research projects focusing on mental health.
Fun Fact: Candace loves the season of fall because of the weather, fashion, new TV seasons, and football.
Sara Redd, MSPH
Doctoral Research Assistant
Sara is a doctoral student at RSPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education. Initially trained in health policy and health services research, Sara has a strong background in research, policy analysis, and program evaluation. Her areas of interest include women’s sexual and reproductive health, Medicaid, maternal and child health, and women’s health policy.
Fun Fact: If Sara wasn’t a public health researcher, she would love to own a brewpub.
Halley Riley, MPH
Doctoral Research Assistant
Halley is a PhD student at RSPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education. Halley received her Masters of Public Health in Reproductive and Family Health from Columbia University in 2013, then came to Atlanta to work at the CDC in the Division of Reproductive Health for two years. Halley is interested in how people make decisions about contraception.
Fun Fact: Halley comes from a big, awesome family. She’s the youngest of 5 sisters and have 7 nieces and nephews. As the youngest, she’s considered the “cool aunt,” and still gets stuck at the kids’ table.
Akimi Smith
Graduate Research Assistant
Akimi received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from East Carolina University. Prior to beginning her MPH at RSPH, she worked on a study that implemented a healthy lifestyle intervention for African-American breast or endometrial cancer survivors with diabetes. Her public health and research interests include sexual and reproductive health, women’s health, maternal and infant health, health disparities, and improving health literacy.
Fun Fact: Akimi’s favorite place to travel to is the beach!
Yuan Zhao, MPH
Graduate Research Assistant
Yuan is currently doing her Master’s of Public Health in Biostatistics. She is originally from China and before coming to Rollins she studied Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University. She then worked as a data specialist at Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Her interests include epidemiological modeling of infectious diseases and causal inference.
Fun Fact: Yuan really likes badminton. And she is now training everyday for her first full marathon.
Sarah Auer
Graduate Research Assistant
Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Skidmore College in 2016. She recently worked at Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) where she was a Research Assistant on measures in varying states of development. Sarah is pursuing her MPH at RSPH in the Behavioral Sciences and Health Education department and is particularly interested in working with the maternal and child health population, particularly women who are pregnant and incarcerated.
Fun Fact: Sarah ran her first triathlon this year and is hoping to train for another in the future!
