12. Schoolboy aspiration #1: A boy draws a picture of himself as a soldier in the future. Almost half the boys drew pictures of themselves as soldiers or a policemen. The choices of the other boys favored occupations such as piloting planes or helicopters and driving heavy trucks or operating equipment. Unfortunately, almost no boys will have the educational skills or opportunities to attain these jobs in fact; virtually all village youth will grow up to be “unemployed farmers.”
