I presented preliminary results from my first dissertation aim at the annual Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Disease (EEID) meeting in sunny Santa Barbara, California. The poster was well received and it was a treat to reconnect with old friends and network with potential future collaborators. The final day of the conference was particularly interesting, titled “Ecological Levers For Health: Sponsored by Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP)” because it was an active conversation between disease ecology and public health. Travel and poster costs were supported by a Laney Graduate School Professional Development Fund award.
