Dr. Peter Diggle at the Center for Health Informatics, Computing, and Statistics (CHICAS) at Lancaster University in Lancaster, England developed the spatial statistical clustering algorithm I am employing for my dissertation analysis over 20 years ago. I was lucky to meet him, other CHICAS faculty (namely Dr. Ben Taylor, Dr. Luigi Sedda, and Dr. Barry Rowlingson), and their graduate students who are engaged in similar research. I presented preliminary findings from my second and third dissertation aim before meeting individually with CHICAS members who provided constructive criticism of my approaches. I look forward to collaborating with them, or at the very least utilize their cutting-edge spatial statistical methods, in the near future.
