Program AIMS

CONVERGE — The Consortium for Violence Prevention Research, Implementation, and Leadership Training for Excellence — seeks to train the next generation of researchers in Vietnam in gender-based violence and violence against children, and to accelerate the translation of evidence into sound policies and best practice.

• A mentorship team, including former trainees now working in the field, tailored to your proposed research project
• Access to an extensive array of datasets from recent violence prevention studies in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, the U.S., and other countries to support your research
• A month-long intensive training program hosted at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S., and engaging faculty from Emory University, Georgia State University, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
• Ongoing training and mentorship support over 17 months for the development, implementation, and dissemination of your research project
• Training in grant proposal preparation for your next research project
• Training in leadership and implementation science to accelerate translation of your research findings into practice in Vietnam
