CANVAS RELEASE HIGHLIGHTS FOR AUGUST 25, 2018

Pen writing on ruled paper

Instructure will release updates to our Canvas environment Saturday, August 25, 2018. Noteworthy changes include:

  • SpeedGrader hides submission details for anonymous grading until the teacher unmutes the assignment.
  • Teachers subscribed to Canvas calendar feeds in clients like Outlook will now see more details for Scheduler appointments.
  • The Mark as Done module requirement synchronizes with the student Dashboard List View and Card View to-do list to automatically complete items that have been marked as done.

As the new academic year begins, you might also find it useful to review this list of DocViewer (displays documents and allows SpeedGrader annotation) feature updates. Especially noteworthy are anonymized instructor annotations, improved annotation management, and image file support.
