The Canvas code deploy on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, and the production release on Saturday, October 15, 2022 include some noteworthy features.
On Monday, October 17, 2022, teachers will be able to schedule publication for an unpublished page (the feature becomes available on Saturday, and we will enable it Monday). Teachers can use the Publish At box in any unpublished page in their courses. Click here to read full release notes for Saturday, October, 15, 2022.
On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, teachers will have the option to make Canvas course files visible at institution or public levels. The default visibility level for files remains at the course level, meaning visible for users enrolled in the course. Visibility level can be changed in course Settings to apply as a new default to all course files or at the level of individual files. Most teachers should keep course-level visibility for course files. The best use cases for this feature for us are probably (a) making a syllabus file attachment visible at institution or public level or (b) restricting the visibility level for selected files within a course where most content is visible to the institution or public.
