Library Resources for Summer Internship Success

As you head off to your internship this summer, remember your librarians are here all summer and happy to help you with research recommendations and search strategies for your projects. You can get started with our internship toolkit.

Remember that due to Emory’s database licensing agreements you cannot use library databases at your internship.  Be sure to maximize advanced Google search strategies and free web resources.

You can still use library databases for your personal enrichment! For example, if you want to learn more about Tableau, R, or advanced excel features, LinkedIn Learning offers video training ranging from five minutes to five hours.  Some LinkedIn Learning  courses even lead to certifications that will display on your LinkedIn profile.

If you are traveling a lot this summer, the library has some great airport reading!  Download business books from Overdrive Business eBooks and Audiobooks, or catch the highlights with Business Book Summaries and GetAbstract.

Remember GBL has licensed access to several news and learning apps – be sure to download them before you leave for the summer!  Here’s the cheat sheet to get started.

Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.
