WHO WE ARE

Grey Matters Emory University is a literary undergraduate neuroscience journal dedicated to making the knowledge of neuroscience accessible to all. We aim to evolve the way we approach, discuss, and research neuroscience and its connections to other areas of study. Our mission is to break down that intellectual barrier to learn about the brain. The brain is arguably the most important part of the body, yet it can be a challenging subject to approach. We take an interdisciplinary approach hoping to make neuroscience easy to embed in daily conversation by sharing relevant, personal, and creative topics. Our goal is to convey the interdisciplinary nature of science, particularly neuroscience, to individuals regardless of their background. We cover topics across a range of disciplines from linguistics to the visual arts, and will continue to explore the intersection of neuroscience with other academic disciplines. We welcome and encourage all students, faculty, and community members to engage with the magazine, and we hope there is something in each issue that sparks their curiosity and stays with them
