How can we help people be better learners?
In my work I use eye tracking and behavioral methods to assess learning outcomes under formal and informal conditions. I ask kids, teens, and adults questions that probe memory processes like factual recall, inferential reasoning, and memory integration, and investigate the efficacy of different learning strategies for maximizing outcomes.
I am a mixed-methods researcher. I use both qualitative and quantitative approaches to answer my research questions.
I successfully defended my dissertation on 3/29/24.
