Over 100 students stopped by the library for a night of gaming fun and tacos on October 4th. Game Night, a semesterly tradition at the Oxford College Library, modeled its theme this fall after orientation and reminded students to Devote Time to Play.
And play we did! Over the course of the evening, students competed in Mario Kart and Werewolf tournaments hosted by Game Central Station and the International Student Association, tried out VR gaming with the support of Academic Technology, and played dozens of board games from the library’s board game collection with Board Game Club.
Because October 4th also happened to be National Taco Day, the library provided tacos and vegan wraps as game fuel, with fantastic signage designed by Coordinator of Circulation Services China Redman.
Huge thanks to the student groups who participated in the event, and all the student employees who worked hard to ensure everyone had a great time. This event would not have been a success without you! We can’t wait to see you all at our spring Game Night!
