My photographic series (work-in-progress) titled ‘Virtual 19th Century Queer Photography.’ builds upon my investigation of queer identities, captured at contemporary events and locations. These images are then developed through alternative processes reminiscent of 19th-century photography, constructing a virtual space where queer individuals occupy historical public scenes. It aims to underscore a sense of ambiguity and timelessness, situating these figures in a context that challenges conventional notions of time and space, and encourages viewers to rethink the historical presence and portrayal of queer bodies.
