Are your investigators or key personnel having trouble certifying? There are a few reasons for this.

  • The person may not have Grants access
  • The user has two User IDs (one for the University and one for Healthcare)

These situations are simple to fix. Please send an email to psgrants@emory.edu indicating the issue. Make sure to include the Proposal ID and the name of the person who cannot certify in your email for faster procesing. In the case of the user with the two User IDs, be sure that the person has certified one of the User IDs so that the additional ID can be inactivated. Also, be sure to click “Preview Workflow” before saving and routing to ensure that all persons who need to certify are listed in the workflow under GM certfication. The certifiers cannot be ad hoc’d into the workflow, and the proposal will be to be denied to obtain the electronic certification.
