Mentors Program

Strong mentors within institutions are critical for sustained and strong research capacity strengthening. TITANS will invest in and achieve this goal by training select eligible faculty to serve as research team mentors and to strengthen mentorship skills in implementation and team science among early career faculty at AAU and BDU.

The program includes:

  • A 2-week training course at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on effective mentoring and how to promote the career development of junior investigators in implementation and team science
  • DiSC® assessment and feedback to improve productivity, communication, and teamwork
  • Networking opportunities with public health leaders from prominent global health agencies and institutions 
  • Portfolio: Expansion of your research portfolio.
  • Networks: Augment your reach to junior and senior colleagues globally.
  • Confidence: Increase your ability to guide individuals and organizations.

Departure

We look forward to meeting with those selected to participate in the Mentors Program in January in Atalnta, GA, USA.

Pre-Arrival

Our team will contact you in July to complete administrative tasks to prepare for your participation in the program.

Program

Mentors will stay in Atlanta, GA, USA for 2 weeks and become acquainted with their teams and connect with faculty at Emory University to gain mentoring skills.
