2020 has been designated International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife by the World Health Assembly in honor of the 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale

To celebrate, we have curated a collection of materials that illustrate the history and breadth of the profession and its’ global impact. The materials relate to clinical practice, population health, leadership, ethics, interdisciplinary care and personal narratives. They represent a small portion of the over 8,000 titles in our collection of books dedicated to the work of nurses and midwives and support the academic and clinical needs of Emory’s School of Nursing and the nursing staff of Emory Healthcare. You can access the collection here https://guides.libraries.emory.edu/whscl_collection_highlights as well as our previous curated collections.

If you have any questions about the collection, please use the “Ask a Librarian” service.
