自遣

对酒不觉暝，

落花盈我衣。

醉起步溪月，

鸟还人亦稀。

 翻译：

              独自一个人自斟自酌，把时间都忘了，不知不觉天色已经暗了。衣服上沾满了掉下来的花瓣。喝得醺醺然的时候站起身来，踩着月光到溪边去散步。这时候鸟都已经回巢了，人也稀少了。

  Translation:

       Alone I pour myself a drink to forget all sense of time. Before I know it, the sky has darkened. My clothes are covered with fallen petals. When I’m tipsy, I stand up and stroll along the moonlit bank of stream. Now, the birds have all returned to their nests and people are few and far between.

              李白，字太白（西元七零一—七六二）。这首诗题为“自遣”。不论是排愁解闷，还是消磨时光，都表示了李白的孤单寂寞。在酒的力量下，诗人忘了时间，忘了自我。等到带着醉意起身，才惊觉到夜已经深了，身上洒满了落花，周遭鸟声、人影都没有了，只有明月伴随在身旁。淡淡的语词，流露出诗人内心深处的落寞感。

              Li Bai, also known as Li Tai Bai (701-762). This topic is Ziqian(Cheer oneself up). The poem is either directed towards alleviating a sense of melancholy or killing time.  It depicts the author’s loneliness. After drinking wine, the poet has forgotten about time and himself. When he sobers up, he suddenly feels that the night is very deep. Flower petals fall on his body. His surroundings are empty of birdsong and human shadows. Only the bright moon on the horizon is his companion. The poet’s style is light and gentle. Through these words, he conveys the loneliness in his heart.
