—新的，但旧的—

这张画里有山和花。在画的中间有一座很绿的山。画的前部有深山，但是花在山上是亮的，有漂亮的粉红花瓣和绿的茎。画里也有一个很好的海边景色。河是很静的。画除了有自然风景以外，还有人为所的东西。你可以看见有人住在那。

这张画的艺术家是张翠英，她是女的，在上海出生，现在住在澳大利亚。她小的时候就开始画画儿。

虽然这张画不是在古代画的，但我觉得这画除了看起来跟老画一样以外，还有古画的感觉。我选这画因为我觉得它是很美丽的，里面有很多东西我可以看，但是是很单纯的。我喜欢这张画的对比色。深山，亮山，亮花，和亮河。很漂亮。 我也喜欢那个小楼。它有大窗，可以看到人住在那。我觉得真有意思。我看这张画的时候想象我住在那家小楼里，觉得我可以看山，看水，看花，真是很好。住在自然旁边就是安静和快乐。

This painting has mountain and flowers. In the middle top area of the painting is a big green mountain. The front of the painting has dark mountains, but the flowers on those mountains are light, they have pretty pink peals and green stems. We get a good seaside view too. The water is very calm. This painting in addition to having natural scenery, has some manmade buildings. We can see that people live there.

The painting’s artist is Zhang CuiYing. She is female and was born in Shanghai, but now lives in Australia. She started painting when she was very young.

Although this painting isn’t from ancient times, I think that in addition to looking like an old painting, it also has the feel of one. I picked this painting because it was very pretty, had a lot to look at, but still very simple. I like this paintings contrasting color. Dark mountains with light mountains, light flowers, and light rivers. I also like the buildings. They have big windows; we can see those that live within. I think it is very interesting. When I look at this painting I imagine living there, I think being able to see mountains, water, and flowers would be good. To live next to nature would be very peaceful and happy.

吴浈: “在山里的雾”

 这幅画显示了几座山，特别是山顶。有些是近的，有些是更远的，比较难看到。还有一些很大的雾围绕在周围的山脉，山上也有植物。在画的底部，有一棵大树。这是很难看到的，因为这幅画只有黑色，而是树的右侧是一个小房子，左边是一个渔夫在他的小船上。

吴浈是在中国元朝的一个艺术家（公元1271-1368年）。他使用了假名梅花道人。他是这一时期最著名的画家之一，他是元四大家之一，与黄公望，倪瓒，王蒙一起。他把元时期新的态度，与历代的一些保守的特质相结合起来。他的画特别抽象，除了大自然的化身之外，更注重环境要素的平衡。

Wu Zhen, “Mist in the Mountains”

The painting features several mountains, specifically the mountaintops. Some are nearby while others are farther away and harder to see. There is also a lot of mist surrounding the mountains as well as several plants and a large tree at the bottom of the painting. It is hard to see because the painting is done in black only, but to the right of the tree is a small house and to the left of the tree is a fisherman in his boat.

Wu Zhen was an artist during China’s Mongol Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), and used the pseudonym Meihua Daoren (the Daoist of the plum blossom). One of the most famous painters of this period, he was one of the Four Masters of the Yuan, along with Huang Gongwang, Ni Zan, and Wang Meng. Paintings of this time period were a combination of the new attitudes of the Yuan period with some conservative qualities from previous dynasties. Wu Zhen’s paintings in particular are more abstract and focus on a balance of environmental elements as well as the personification of nature.

Many people believe landscape is the highest form of Chinese painting, at least traditionally and historically. This style symbolizes humans exploring and becoming one with nature, finding a sanctuary from chaos – political and personal – of their daily lives. Because of the mist and abundance of simple, natural features in this painting, there is a deep spiritual quality in this painting, showing a man’s harmony with nature. The mist seems to bring a sense of mystery as well as balance. The painting shows a balance between almost all of the natural elements because it features air, water, and earth. The simplicity of the fisherman’s life perhaps symbolizes humility and peace as well as isolation.

这张画是唐伯虎的赏菊图，这幅画的布局很整齐，山，树，人，各占三分之一。画里面的人们和风景大多是黑色和白色，但是画的下半部分靠近人的地方隐隐约约有红色的菊花。画里面最高处是山，山下有苍松，树下有亭子，大人，和小孩子。

唐伯虎出生在1470年，明朝。他的真名是唐寅。他是中国著名的画家，诗人，书法家。他是江南四大才子之一。他的画大部分都是山水画。我选择这幅画因为画里面的松树很特别，给我留下了深刻的印象 。

这张画很长，画的上下部分都是山的一角，让人感觉画中的人住在深山里。松树下面的亭子让我感觉这幅画非常安静。如果我能在山里的树下玩，有一个亭子能让我一边休息一边观看大山，该是一件多有意思的事情啊！

This painting is Appreciating Chrysanthemum by the Eastern Hedge by Tang Bo Hu. This painting is very organized, because the mountain, the tree and people in the painting each take up a third of the space. People and objects in the painting are mostly black and white, but you can see red dots representing chrysanthemum here and there near the people at the lower part of the painting. The top part of the painting is mountain, under the mountain is a tree and under the tree is adults and children.

Tang Bo Hu was born in 1470 in Ming Dynasty. His real name is Tang Yin. He is a famous Chinese painter, poet and calligrapher. He is one of the “Four Literary Masters of JiangNan”. Most of his paintings are about rivers and mountains. I chose this one because the tree interests me a lot.

This painting is very long, both top and bottom of the painting show a corner of mountains, making me think that the people in the painting resides in the mountain. The pavilion under the tree makes this painting very quiet. If I were playing near a tree in a mountain, it would be really nice if there were a pavilion with a great mountain view for me to rest.

这张图画很有意思。图画的大部分是褐色可是叶和草是绿色的。图画里面的还有三个人的颜色。画家的重点是人们。我觉得图画里的前面东西更重要因为它们有颜色。我看不见后面的东西因为这些东西没有内容。

从1368到1644年画家蓝瑛画了风景，人们，花和鸟。他画的类型跟吴镇和黄公望的类型一样。蓝瑛是在艺校学画画的。蓝的儿子和孙子也都成为了画家。这张图画很漂亮，我真喜欢这图画因为这图画有很详细的东西。我看过很多蓝瑛的画，可是我觉得这个画最好。这张图画很安静， 我喜欢安静的东西。

如果我是画家，我应该放更多一点颜色。我觉得这图画太简单。但这幅画让我想起了最纯净的自然，我希望我可以看到这样的自然，可是现在不可能，因为很多地方已经被污染了。要是我在画里面，在树的下面，我会想睡觉休息。

This picture is very interesting. Majority of the picture is brown but the leaves and the grass are green. Also, in the picture, the three men are colored; the painter’s drawing’s emphasis is the men. I think the things in the front of the pictures are more important because they have color. I am unable to see the dongs in the back because the objects in the back have no detail.

From 1368 until 1644, LanYing was a painter of landscape, people, flowers and birds. His style of drawing was same with Huang Gongwang and Wu Zhen. This picture is very pretty, and I really like this picture because this picture is very detailed. I looked at many of Lan Ying’s paintings, but I think this one is the best. This picture is very peaceful and I really like peaceful objects.

If I were the painter, I would add a little bit more color. I think this painting is too simple. This painting reminds me of the purest nature, and I wish I could see this kind of nature but now it is impossible because many places are polluted by buildings. If I were inside the painting, I want to sleep and rest under the trees.
