FactSet has recently added Sentiment Scores to the transcripts of company Earning’s Calls. These quarterly calls are
tremendously important sources of intelligence about a company, extending well beyond the reporting of its most recent quarterly financial performance. Insights about corporate strategy, operations, leadership, and competitive position are just some of what can be gleaned by reading these transcripts.
At the top of the transcript is a visual snapshot of the sentiment score:
The topics which are highlighted in the sentiment scores are color-coded, and the colors are replicated in the aligned text of the transcript for ease of jumping immediately to the relevant passages.
