BMC is a 10-hour, self-paced course that provides an interactive introduction to financial markets. Note: BMC is available for all current GBS students only.

u must register and complete all of the BMC classes between now and graduation. If you don’t complete all of the classes and receive your certification by graduation, your registration and any classes you completed will be deleted from Bloomberg’s system. Registration requires using your emory.edu email.
You can also take the BMC certification from the physical Bloomberg Terminals at GBS and GBL anytime until you graduate. Type BMC<GO>.
BMC offers access to three content sections.
- Core Concepts (includes 4 modules: Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities)
- Getting Started on the Terminal
- Portfolio Management
The sections are woven together from Bloomberg data, news, and analytics. Upon successful completion of all the modules, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, which you might want to add to your resume and to your LinkedIn Profile.
