Be sure to download these 8 apps onto your phone or tablet to stay informed and make the most of your Goizueta experience. (Note: Goizueta faculty and staff have access to these apps too!)
1. The New York Times (NYTimes.com)
The premium digital access includes breaking news, multimedia, reviews and opinions, blogs, podcasts, videos, and more than 25 Times sections, including World, Politics, Opinion, Business, Technology, Science, Arts, and more. To sign up, register via the Goizueta Business Library website using your Emory email address. NYTimes.com processes new registrations on a weekly basis, each Wednesday. Once you receive your Welcome email, you can log in, download the app and begin using this great resource.
2. Wall Street Journal (WSJ.com)
Essential reading for any business student, the Wall Street Journal has much more than just articles. Podcasts, videos, and guides are also available on the web and mobile versions. To sign up, register via the Goizueta Business Library website using your Emory email address. Use that login information to access WSJ on the web and through the app.
3. Atlanta Business Chronicle (and other cities)
If you’re planning to do an internship or pursue a career in the Atlanta metro area, knowing the local business landscape will help you stand out. Through this app, you can access Atlanta Business Chronicle, as well as business newspapers from other major cities in the U.S.
4. getAbstract
With the amount of reading you have to do for your courses, it can be a challenge to read all the way through best selling business books. getAbstract compiles 5-page summaries of top business books from around the world. Some summaries are even available as audio files.
Similar to getAbstract, Business Book Summaries condenses business bestsellers into chapter-by-chapter summaries. Their collection includes classic business books going back to the 1990s.
6. Overdrive Business Audiobooks
We carefully selected over 150 business audio books, giving you even more options to access our collection. When you download the app, simply add Emory University as one of your libraries. You’ll be able to access the business audio books in addition to a wide selection of e-books from various genres. Overdrive is also used by public libraries around the country, so be sure to add your local library as well to give you even more selection.
7. Lynda.com
Keep learning on the go with access to hundreds of video tutorials on a wide range of topics including Tableau, Office products, leadership, coding, just to name a few. You can even receive certification for completing courses or create customized playlists based on your own interests.
8. FactSet
If you like to follow public company performance and financial news, definitely get the FactSet app. Follow the directions for account registration for the site, and then you can download the app using the same credentials.
