Better World Book RePurposing: give your books a second life! Better World Books sells books online at their own site and donates the proceeds to Books for Africa, Invisible Children, Room to Read, the National Center for Family Literacy and the World Fund. Collection bins are at the Emory Recycling Center and the Dobbs University Center!
New and Ongoing efforts!
- The Water Reclamation project is on track (recycling grey water for landscape irrigation)
- Campus Services has put in an application to Georgia Power for 5 separate solar projects (it’s a lottery so we may get all, some or none approved)
- Emory is now investigating geothermal energy opportunities for heating and cooling our campus!
These are exciting times for sustainability and conservation at Emory!
