The LITS Wellness Committee is hosting a sun safety awareness event featuring King of Pops! The event will be held in the Woodruff Library’s Jones Room from 2-3 pm on Monday, August 14.
Did you know that people with thin or thinning hair should apply sunscreen to the scalp as well? Or that you can sunburn even on a cloudy day? Or that concrete, sand, water, and snow reflect 85% to 90% of the sun’s UV rays?
Here’s a fact we all should be aware of: skin cancer is the fastest growing form of cancer in the world. It’s more important than ever to protect ourselves.
Join us August 14 for delicious frozen treats, free SPF 30 travel sunscreen and lip balm handouts, and information about staying cool and protected in the heat. This event is open to all LITS employees. There are limited quantities, so people should come early (first come, first serve).
We hope to see you there!
